Boy Name Meaning and need clarifications

Assalaamualaikum,

We have finalized boy name which is “ZOHAIR MOHAMMED”. 
1) What is the meaning of the name “ZOHAIR”?
2) Is “ZOHAIR” Sahaba name? Everywhere on the internet the meaning of the name  “ZOHAIR” comes as “Best friend of the last prophet (SAW)”. Please can you share your views on this?
3) Does name spelling “ZOHAIR” and “ZUHAIR” means the same?
4) Do we write both the names in Arabic the same way which is “زھیر”?

Zohair is a diminutive of Zahr, which means flower. Its Arabic letters are  

 -ز"، "ہ"، "ی" اور "ر" ہیں -"ز" پر پیش اور "ہ" پر زبر  کے ساتھ اس کا تلفظ ہے     

and it is the name of a companion of the Holy Prophet (SAW).

This name is written in Arabic. زُھَیر
