My name is Wasif Tajwarul Hoque. I just wanted to know, what is the translation of my name in Arabic. Just want to make sure I am not involving in shirk, using a name that might have improper meaning
Jazak Allahu Khayran
بسم اللہ الرحمٰن الرحیم
الجواب ومنہ الصواب
The name (Wasif Tajwar-ul-Haq) consists of three components:
1. “Wasif” means the one who describes the good or bad state of something and praises it. (القاموس الوحید)
2. “Tajwar” is an Urdu word meaning king. (فروز الغات)
3. “Al-Haqq” is the Name and one of the Blessed Attributes of Allah (SWT) The Almighty.
“Al-Haqq” is also used for something proven as true, correct and unsuspecting (Deen and Islam (القاموس الوحید)
If the name of Almighty Allah is meant by “Al-Haqq” within the components of your name, then that is not permissible to use at all. In that case your name becomes incorrect and invalid.
But if "Al-Haqq" is used for meanings other than that, your name will then be correct.
When parents decide to name their child upon his birth, they generally well deliberate to make sure the name is correct for its meanings. Trusting that assumption your name appears to be correct.
