Since you have promised and pledged to abide by the rules of the  university,  it is your duty to comply with those rules and regulations.

Be aware that in general universities do not allow off-campus employment.  Therefore, you should either find a job inside the campus, or if you want a job outside, seek permission first, to avoid breaking the university laws and be subject to its worldly and eternal consequences.

However, if you are permitted to work off campus and earn by doing a halal job, that income will be halal for you.

Almighty Allah says:

يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا أَوْفُوا بِالْعُقُود (المائدہ:۱)

قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «المُسْلِمُونَ عِنْدَ شُرُوطِهِمْ»( صحیح بخاری: کتاب الاجارۃ: باب اجر السمسرۃ)
