Assalamualaikum,
Yesterday my wife and I had an argument. I got in a rage and was very angry. I was not thinking and said Talaaq twice. Immediately I realized what I had done and repented. My wife’s sorrows are beyond recognition and has not stopped crying since then. Please advise the status of our marriage.

A Talaq given in a state of Anger is valid. It is said in a Hadith,
۔ (ترمذی) ثلث جدھن جد وھزلھن جد النکاح والطلاق والرجعہ
You pronounced Talaq twice, therefore two Talaq Raja’ee happened on your wife. Now you may take your wife back within an Eddat, عدت ( before three menstruation period.) The method of taking a wife back is such; Say in front of two witnesses that I take my wife back. And if the Eddat period is over, then new Nikah shall be made with a new Mahr. Now by all means you have only one last chance to give Talaq, therefore please be careful in uttering such word. And if you give one more Talaq after getting your wife back then your wife will become Haram on you. And taking her back again before Halala حلالہ would not be correct.
