Nafl Fast
Asasalmualaikum.
Hazrat. Is it permissible to break a nafl fast before zawaal without the need to do qadah? Or, will qadah be required?
الجواب وبالله التوفيق
Breaking any fast (even nafl) after Subh al-Sadiq (true dawn), for which an intention has been made will require performing qadha. In case of a nafl fast, if the intention had not been made, breaking it until the time of zawal would not require qadha.
