Assalam alaikum,
Sometimes I see kids (3yrs to 6 yrs old) mishandling the paper/book on which they write and learn Arabic letters or words. Do the parents need to offer any kind of Kaffarah for this mishandling of Arabic letters by the kids or is it okay as long as these are not Quranic verse?

The children should be made aware of it because their disrespect is not permissible either. If the disrespect is done unknowingly then one should feel sorry and seek forgiveness on their mistake and effort should be made that the carelessness should not be done again.

کبھی کبھار میں دیکھتا ہوں کہ تین سے چھ سال کے بچے ان کاغذات اور کتابوں کو اٹھاتے رکھتے ادب کا خیال نہیں رکھتے جن پر عربی حروف تہجی یا الفاظ لکھے ہوئے ہیں، کیا ان کے والدین کو اس کا کفارہ ادا کرنا ہوگا یا جب تک ان پر قرآنی آیات نہ لکھی ہوں تو کوئی حرج نہیں؟

بچوں کو اس بارے میں آگاہ کرنا چاہیے، کیونکہ ان کی بے ادبی بھی جائز نہیں ہے،اگر ناسمجھی میں بے احترامی ہوجائے تو اپنی جانب سے کوتاہی ہونے پر ندامت اور استغفار کرلیں،اور اس بات کا خیال رکھا جائے کہ آئندہ بے احتیاطی نہ ہو۔
