Talaq via Text Message

I have recently gotten a divorce through text/sms but I wanted to make sure that I received it as the guy did not say the word ’talaq’ directly instead he used the words ’it’s better if we part ways’ . Is this kinaya? Did I receive a talaq or no?

In the situation described in your question, no divorce has taken place as your husband has used the words “it’s better if we part ways” as a suggestive statement to you.
