Assalamualaikum,

I have read a previously answered topic on your site regarding machine slaughtered chicken which says thsi kind of meat is "Haram". We recently found out the place where we were buying meat from (Muslim Owner) is selling machine cut Chicken. We will be careful while buying meat from this place from now onwards but I have some Chicken (6-8 lbs) at home from this shop. Should I throw this Chicken away? And for so many months we have been consuming meat from this place because we trusted the muslim owners when they said it is Halal. And honestly I did not know about "machine cut" chicken until I came to USA. I always thought chicken is cut by hand by muslims. Is there any kaffarah for consuming this haram chicken unknowingly?
